My whole life I’ve adored Christmas time. I love the twinkling lights, the parties, the drop-ins and the festive bonhomie that everyone joyfully sprinkles around. It’s a good time, but with so many extra gatherings to fit in at this time of year, it can be hard to keep up with all the admin.

And the admin is abundant. Even though my children are now almost as old as Santa, he still comes to our place (the kids aren’t unhappy about it). Then there are the feasts to plan, the charities to support, the people to thank and, somewhere languishing on our very-busy list, the gifts to buy.

Oh, the gifts! Every year the fact that it’s Christmas and presents are expected takes me by surprise. Are you the same? When will we learn and become one of those people who picks something up in June because it's on sale and a friend will love it? Spoiler alert: still not that person.

But this year I’m super-relaxed because I’m doing all of my shopping online. Not for me the crush of Christmas shopping in-store. Instead, I’m going through the Citro gift guides, selecting the perfect gift for everyone on my list and getting it all sent directly to my door.
